Dr. Amaya Beres grew up in Brevard County, FL and graduated from UCF with a bachelor’s in biology. She acquired her Doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in beautiful Appalachia.
She currently has two dogs and a cat: Lucy the dachshund, Daisy the hound dog, and a cat named Sansa. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games like Runescape and Fallout with her best friend and partner, Connor. Her other interests include chicken keeping, knitting/crocheting, and playing music. She sings and performs together with her father in a band called “Amāya Music.”
Her veterinary interests include ophthalmology, mixed animal medicine, and geriatric care. Her focus is to be a well-rounded veterinarian that can deliver high-quality care to animals of all species. In conjunction, she aims to always offer compassionate support to pet owners navigating the unique needs of their senior animal companions.
