Vaccinations That We Offer For Your Cat

Rabies
Every cat should be vaccinated against Rabies for your protection as well as theirs. Rabies is a fatal virus that pets can contract from wildlife. The vaccine will protect your cat from developing rabies if a rabid animal attacks them. Also, the vaccination provides a “barrier population” that minimizes the transmission from wildlife to humans. Unfortunately, there is no way to test your cat for Rabies while he is alive. If your cat is unvaccinated and is suspected to be rabid he would have to be euthanized in order to test the brain for the rabies virus.
We offer a 1 year and 3 year Rabies vaccine.

HCP
The HCP vaccination protects against Feline Rhinotracheitis, Feline Calici and Feline Panleukopenia Virus. These viruses are highly contagious and can be fatal to your cat, therefore, all cats should be vaccinated against them.
Feline Rhinotracheitis causes upper respiratory infection. The symptoms include sneezing, nasal discharge, inflammation of the nose and conjunctiva.
Feline Calici Virus causes upper respiratory infection and oral disease. The symptoms include ulcers in the mouth, fever, sneezing, nasal discharge, inflammation of the nose and conjunctiva.
Feline Panleukopenia virus causes distress of the intestinal tract. The symptoms are ataxia, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, depression, and often death.
We offer a 1 year and 3 year HCP vaccine

Feline Leukemia
The Feline Leukemia vaccine protects your cat against feline leukemia. Feline leukemia is a highly contagious disease. It is considered to be the most common cause of serious illness and death in domestic cats. It causes a breakdown in your cat’s immune system causing your cat to become susceptible to many diseases. It is spread through saliva, mucus, urine, feces and blood. If your cat comes in contact with other cats he/she should first be tested and if he/she is negative he/she should be vaccinated for Feline Leukemia. We recommend even indoor only cats be vaccinated for this disease since there is always a chance that they could get outside and become infected.
We offer a 1 year Leukemia vaccine.
