Dr. Victoria Schad was born and raised in upstate New York. She obtained her MS and PhD (Immunology) from the University of Rochester Medical School. Dr. Schad moved to Boston, Massachusetts to pursue a career in biomedical research, including HIV, allergy and transplantation. She obtained her DVM from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and worked in mixed animal practice in southeastern Massachusetts prior to moving to Florida. Currently Dr. Schad owns 3 cats (2 are diabetic), a parakeet, an eastern painted turtle, and many fish as pets. Dr. Schad is a naturalist, she loves Florida’s flora and fauna, especially the nature coast. She enjoys kayaking, swimming, birding, gardening and spending time outside.
